<description>Spending Review There is an Alternative

So we have had the ConDems Spending Review which is cruel unfair and hits the poorest the hardest. I believe there is an alternative to these huge cuts.... Let the Banks Pay

Were all in this Together....yes some more than others.

The Banks caused this problem yet they are getting off basically scott free. The Tories with their bedfellows the Lib Dems are playing an unnecessary gamble with growth and jobs. Their cuts are too harsh and too deep and it seems they are cutting just for the sake of it endangering recovery.

Their gamble with growth and jobs puts the fagile recovery at risk. My alternative is to tax those more who can afford it tax the banks and scrap Labours daft plans to replace Trident. Why should we be paying for the failure of banks. They caused it they should pay for it.

The cuts are unfair public services and jobs must be saved We must fight the cuts

<title>Another Tory Blow for Wales</title>
<link>http://www.richardbertin.com/page8.htm#78310</link>
<description>Councillors Disapointment Over St Athan Decision

INDEPENDENT Councillor Richard Bertin has reacted with bitter disapointment over the ConDems proposal to axe the Defence Academy at St. Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The decision will mean the loss of thousands of jobs will be a huge blow to the local economy and a huge let down for those in the supply chain.

Despite millions being spent to date on the project the ConDems have now decided to pull the plug on the project which has not been helped by Labours indecisive dithering on whether to go ahead with it when they were in power.

ExLabour Councillor Richard Bertin said This is a huge blow for the Vale of Glamorgan This is definetly the wrong decision to take and once again the Tories have let Wales down. He said So much for Tory MP Alun Cairns saying the project was safe ... he has betrayed the people of the Vale.

Councillor Richard Bertin recently resigned from the Labour Group amid bullying allegations made by him and is now an independent councillor. As a result changes have had to be made on the council to reflect the new political balance.

Councillor Bertin will now sit on Housing Scrutiny Planning Community Liaison and Voluntary Sector Joint.
